Our projects Plenary Hall in Schwerin Castle and Oscar Niemeyer Sphere were honored as winners at this year’s Deutscher Lichtdesign-Preis (German Lighting Design Award).
At the award ceremony in Munich on September 16, 2021, the lighting concept for the plenary hall of the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (Dannheimer & Joos Architekten) received the award in the category “Public Areas/Interiors”.
The Oscar Niemeyer Sphere (design: Oscar Niemeyer/ design architect: Ana Niemeyer Arquitetura e Consultoria – Jair Valera, executive architect: KERN Architektur) was awarded with the special jury prize.
The jury pointed out that the light supports the sculptural architecture in all areas and gives it additional strength and presence.
