Optionally, the RGBW lines can be dynamically programmed in color and transport the dramaturgy of the sporting event inside to the outside world.
The stadium’s architecture is primarily characterized by the curved roof, whose 17-meter-steel structure spans the stands without supports. Taking into account the considerable long-distance effect of this part of the building, the planners of Licht Kunst Licht use the roof as the main light carrier. Different components of the roof, such as the circumferential ring at the outer edge of the roof and the entire underside of the roof above the visitor stands were used for illumination and complement one another to form an impressive interplay of effectively illuminated surfaces.
The rich red, homogeneous illumination of the four-part roof, which consists of opposite grandstand roofs and two curved roofs, was implemented by means of high-powered LED spotlights in monochrome red. The luminaires, 300 W each, are mounted in groups of three in two maintenance-friendly assembly lines within the steel trapezoidal steel structure.
Using powerful LED technology, a wide variety of lighting effects can be programmed on the facade, within the stadium, and on the underside of the roof. Together, they can be played back as a coordinated choreography.
