“LIGHT AND WELL-BEING IN BUILDINGS” EVENT, Brussels

Andreas Schulz speaks at “Light and Well-Being in Buildings” event at the European Parliament


With a joint conference on October 11th, 2017 in the European Parliament in Brussels, the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) and LightingEurope stressed the importance of light and well-being in buildings. The event was moderated by MEP Dr. Peter Liese. A panel of EU policy makers, industry representatives, and lighting designers gathered to discuss the importance of a healthy living and working environment and how lighting can contribute to healthier buildings. Energy saving has been and will remain a key objective for EU policymakers and industry stakeholders, but addressing lighting quality and well-being should be granted similar importance.

Taking the examples of two of our projects, namely Städel Museum in Frankfurt and the State Parliament Baden-Württemberg, Andreas Schulz shared his thoughts on human centric lighting and its impact on lighting design with an international audience.
